In Mark 10:14 Jesus says, “Suffer the little children to come unto me.” In the King James Version, “suffer” means “allow.” Teaching a lesson over a toy drum tests that interpretation.
Every missionary has knocked on a door where a child answers, “My mom isn't home,” while Mom is clearly peeking through the blinds.
